Open faced Chili Grilled cheese sandwich

Easy and quick meal for tonight is going to be an open sandwich, which is not really a sandwich.


Slice of bread
Slice of cheese*
a bit of butter
some chili**

Take the slice of bread, butter one side put on a skillet over medium heat. Put the slice of cheese on the bread and continue cooking until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melty. Place on plate or in bowl and pour chili on top. You can use as little or as much chili you want.

This is a great meal for when a grilled cheese is just not enough and when you don't have enough chili leftover for a full bowl.

*You can use more than one slice, depends on how much cheese you like.
**Works best with homemade chili
